SIREN
The vehicle theft system alarm Siren contains a built in rechargeable battery back up and can sound if its electrical
circuits are disconnected or if the vehicle battery cables are disconnected. The Siren can also sound if the electrical
circuits between it and the CLP/SSM are disconnected. Once triggered, the Siren can only be silenced by unlocking
the vehicle with the RF key transmitter or by unlocking the vehicle with the mechanical key.

As we have seen in the past a "bad" battery can also be the cause. Have the wife take the car to Autozone or some place for a free check.

Fuse 9 (top left side in picture,10 Amp (red)) in the fuse block under the hood affects the Siren and the Anti-Tow device.
Might try pulling that.

Did it work?

Well she removed the fuse, number 9, labeled alarm. This seems to have temporarily solved the problem. It does however affect the TPMS indicator light and the trunk lock. But at least the siren is not going off every 5 minutes. Thanks for all the help. I will post more in a month when I am back with the car and figure out a permanent solution.
Also any recommendations on a new battery, I think I am going to replace it, as it is still the original.

Popular replacement is the following battery.
Interstate #MTP-91,
This has the correct post positions. Spacer required. Manifold vent, single handle.

Black case, 700CCA, 875CA, 72Ah, reserve capacity 120 minutes, weight 37 lbs. Battery has 96 plates inside. Actual size is OK but the case height is low so the pad on the clamp needs a spacer. Cheaper and more powerful than the MTP-H6, Free replacement for 30 months, 85 months pro-rated.
Suggested retail price $125.00, on the street $85 and up. A real bargoooooon.

Something I learned recently on batteries: I went to Massey-Yardley dealership in Plantation, FL to get an OEM replacement. It was $164 out the door.

They told me since 2 years ago Interstate makes the batteries for Chrylser. It was the H-6 type. I was glad to hear as it was a little lighter than the stock Mopar-branded battery. However, the price was still better than what the local shops were quoting. There wasn't even this battery in stock at any of the locations. Unusual...

Exact fitment, original spacer & bracket work perfectly.

I pulled #9 before I replaced the battery. The alarm came on for 2 seconds after pulling it then was silent until I reconnected the new battery and replaced fuse. It came on until I unlocked the car with the key fob.
