Default Alarm gone mad ... HELP

Hi all, Firstly I am a long time lurker but first time poster here on the forum. Primarily because I have found all the answers I need without needing to ask questions. Thanks for all the help.
Unfortunately my '04 Limited is losing its mind this evening. The alarm has gone off 3 times in 45 minutes, while sitting in a closed locked, level garage. I searched and found a couple threads, but I couldn't find an answer as how to deal with the problem effectively. I really do not want to go to the dealer and give them any of my hard earned money, but I am not comfortable ripping out and reinstalling a whole electrical system.
Any help, advice or witty sarcasm will be appreciated!

Yo Lurker. I'd start by looking at the battery.
Is it the original?
Have it tested for free at Autozone (or similar). Our cars do weird things when the batteries start going out.

+1
My alarm went off when I opened the door of the car the other day, at the time I thought it was a fluke. The next day i decided to start the car as it had sat for two months or so without being started or having the battery charged, when I started it the wing went up. It is a new battery and was just a little flat and I think (and hope) it caused both events.

+1 You need to start lurking for a battery.

YEP!
With any Lurk, that's the issue.

Half the electrical issues can be solved by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then re-connecting.
Except, of course, a weak battery.

He did ask for it guys.

Another possibility is water in your trunk. Underneath the hard foam block in the floor of your trunk (passenger side) is an alarm control module as well as your central locking module. Under the car and covered by undercoating is a round rubber plug about the size of a dime. There is one for both trunk tubs, at the lowest spot. Clean away the undercoating and pry the plug out. If any water comes out you've got two problems. First, you have a leak. Second, your modules will be damaged and are very expensive to replace.
Its worth a look.

I thought they were for use as live bait wells when you went fishing and the pump was an aerator, silly me.

face palm! Damn, why did I not think of that before? Great tip.... Thanks!

Oh, and have you ever fished for rabbit? I have lots of rabbits in my back yard near the wood line. I can sit on my balcony with rod/reel in hand, bait it with a piece of carrot.... cast, and viola!

Thanks for the advice, I will start with the battery and trunk (seems easy and cheap) So far the alarm has only activated the 3 times last night. I am keeping my fingers crossed, otherwise my wife (it is her daily driver) is going to have some very angry co-workers.
Also thanks for the advice on how to control the rabbit population, I personally prefer my AR-15 or 12ga ... depending on my mood!

Aw Hell, anyone can shoot a rabbit. Now reeling in a pissed off 5 pounder with 3lb test line, now that's sport. What is real fun is putting a couple drops of tobasco on the carrot. You gotta be quick to set the hook, but if you do...... look out! That sonofagun will give you a fight like a champion bull on steroids.

That my friend is a Heckler & Koch MP5A2. It was tough enough getting this one so no, we can't start a group buy for it. LOL

+1 on the battery.
See my posts about the alarm and key fob situations...also, when I finally got her boosted back up (took two batteries to crank her over) I also noticed the spoiler was up - unasked for...I guess low battery really does cause some "ghosts in the machine"...

Argh! So mine is going off again. Unfortunately I am in Florida and my wife is in Michigan with the car. Is there a quick fix that I can explain to my wife over the phone. I am thinking something along the lines of pulling a fuse or cutting a wire. It does not need to be permanent just to silence the siren, I am less concerned about the flashers etc going off for a few minutes as long as it is silent. Any help will be appreciated.

A collapsible stock makes everything better. But it will really hurt your accuracy especially from the hip with that MP5, not that accuracy matters with a 9mm sub machine gun
Anyways any ideas on this alarm issue? Is there a fuse to pull?
