Well my hopes of a cheaper aftermarket alternative with Dahmer Powertrains was a let down. From what I saw today it appears like they used a cheap bearing. The picture shows the bearing failure on the pinion. The rings and spiders gears look fine so this is unlreated to stock rearend failures. The pictures I took show the bearing on the pinion.

I'm waiting for the final word on what to be done. If a factory unit will be put in or perhaps another rebuild from another company or if Dahmer can produce a unti that wont fail at high speeds...
