I won't speak for you dad but mine would say, if you don't like your car as it is, sell it and get what full fills your dreams. In the end you will spend more money and time changing the car you have, than if you buy something else. My dad would also worry about service, support, parts etc. When you have a one of a kind car you have one of a kind problems.

Of course I put all kinds of money in my straight six at the time, looking back it would have been cheaper and I would have ended up with a better running and driving car if I followed his advice. But I learned a lot and don't really regret it.

But thats my dad. Good luck if you decide to follow the dream.
