tire heat question
new goodyear eagle ss drag radials on alloy rims. as nobody in the area has the equipment to properly heat cycle the tires i had to do it old school.
never doing any burnouts i run the car up to cruising speed for 10 minutes. stop and check temps with infra red temp gage. readings are a full 5 * F lower on the drivers side as opposed to the pass. side 77 and 82 * respectfully. continue to drive on the interstate with rolling speeds up to 120 mph. very squirrley with new rubber!! temps again off by 5*. now up to 90* on the driver and 95* on the pass side.
go to the high school and do figure 8's and circles for 5 minutes and drive home. jack the car up and temps are 5* off again!!! my muffler is even on the drivers side but the driver wheel is 5* lower at every check. air pressures were 40 psi on both sides checked at every stop
any ideas?
