Rotors are replaced when they are too thin. Must use a brake mic to measure the thickness---1000ths of an inch, you can not see this with the naked eye. The pads are vibrating in the calipers to make the sound. To have ANY sound there must be a vibration. Shims or new caliper hardware or both will help. There is nothing special about your car---what is different is the install.
