Please don't shoot me if this has been asked before. I did search and found nothing on it.

My drivers side door pin is flush with the opening when the door is unlocked. When it is locked it is down in the whole to where you cannot see it.

My passenger side door pin is flush when the door is locked and a quarter inch above when it is unlocked.

Is this normal, or is one of them wrong?
