That is correct. It is the hydrographic process. It is synthetic and strictly for looks. Treat it like a paint finish and it is extremely durable. It is NOT vinyl as another suggested. I don't expect it to be everyone's taste, but I think it looks great.

I have always though those looked great on your car, but I was under the impression you had your OEM surrounds coated. I know it is a much more involved process, but in essence, you were adding to the OEM, not creating something new, correct??
