Mike, the wide stainless band on the airbox is where it splits to service the filter inside. As it is, I just loosen the clamp at the MAF and lift the whole thing out at the flex pipes (radiator).
The flex is pretty neat. It's called "smooth bore" ducting. It's very smooth inside and is only .030" wall thickness. At $12 per foot, iy ought to be pretty neat!
And no, the feedthroughs are still constrained by the shape of the openings. I refuse to cut the rad support structure. I just compressed the flex to fit. But it is the thinnest-wall stuff I could hope for!
