Can't say that about the brakes. Yes they are designed for it but the design includes an intentional sacrificial part. And the bloody mess gets all over my wheels.
Costs nothing to downshift. Clean up is a snap.

Franc, surely as long as you have been around, you have ceramic pads on your baby. I have not seen a speck of dust on my wheels since I put the Akebono's on mine.
