In my 3 years living there, the only speed limit signs that I ever saw on an autobahn were when in or near a town or city, and they were strictly enforced. I do not recall ever seeing one on the rural stretches. I have on many occasions passed a polizei doing 140 mph or faster without a second thought. Maybe I am just getting senile. LOL
