Aaron, Infinite is correct for sure. You can actually decrease horsepower because you are not sucking in cold air, but instead sucking in the super-heated air from the engine. Find a way to direct the true cold air to those filters and you might see a small gain.....
In a thread I started, I emphasized my plan on re routing cold air to these intakes by either placing them behind the grill or using other methods like pipes into a box that holds the cones. I understand the importance of allowing the coldest air possible to reach these intakes. I think it was a mistake to post this on the forum before I even installed these. Up to this point, I have only been crucified.
