The optimas dont. They are solid cell batteries, no liquid so no fumes. plus they are sealed by optima.

I just need to go get my optima from my dad. I never used it so its been pulling duty in our race trailer, gotta give it credit, its like 6 years old and hasnt failed yet.

I think the hardest part about this hole thing is going to be running the positive cable up to the engine bay
