The automatic I heard was a clunky shifter too. It comes with the car. My manual is a tough shifter, but the only thing that bothers me is that you can hear me shifting into any gear outside the car. I don't know if anyone else has that problem though.

Just a tip- In Europe, they mostly drive manuals. If you need to drive automatic, I've heard that you get a "special" license. Special, in the bad sense.

Manual is much more fun. To each his own though.
