Not sure why MB does not engineer this into their cars.
On really hot days, this would reduce the temperature of the coolant in the radiator... but (as has been stated before) with no coolant flow, you are getting little for all that battery drain.
I don't see why you want to do this... Now I DO acknowledge that these cars run too hot, but this won't help with that.
