Well today I was lucky.
I was close to home when I discovered a pin hole leak in my upper radiator hose. I lost some coolant but not much and did not overheat.
I made it home and found that there is only one upper hose in the US and it is being shipped to me.
The hole was caused by constant contact/rubbing on the plastic cooling fan shroud in a spot where there are two round raised surfaces with sharp edges.
I have attached a few pics to show you where to look to see if your hose is rubbing this spot or not.
Looking for feedback from all of you with your findings.

Gary:

While performing some underhood maintenance & detailing this morning, I took the opportunity to look at the upper radiator hose on my 2007 Coupe. Turns out there is about an inch of clearance on my XFire on the radiator bosses you showed rubbing on your 2004 model. The upper hose on my 2007 makes nearly a full 180 after the connection and completely avoids this intereference. Looked like Chrysler became aware of this issue sometime later and changed the configuration of the upper cooling system hose to eliminate the issue. Or the hose on my 07 was installed differently at the factory and oriented so that this interference doesn't occur.
