Make sure you load up your torque converter at the launch. Right before you are ready to go, you can hold the break and give it a little bit of gas...not enough to start the rear tires spinning, but a few hundred rpm gets you to your torque peak sooner.....0.1 of a second is worth .3 in the 1/4 mile cause you carry that extra speed the whole way.
