Default Air conditioning problems

While driving (and bragging about my car to an out of town guest) the a/c and blower motor quit working and the cabin filled with light smoke and the smell of burnt wiring. After 30 minutes and before I took it to chrysler the a/c and blower started working again. The dealer tells me it had tree leaves and a feather in the blower assembly causing the short circuit. I explained to the dealer the car is garaged at home and it is under a carport (designated parking) at work. He further commented that an animal is burrowing in the blower motor (sounds like bs). I insisted that this is extremely unlikely and it would appear the most logical thing would be to replace the blower and relay switch, which chrysler agreed to do. My question (finally) has anyone experienced this problem. thanks bigD
