I have not been able to get a definitive answer on this Muscle, and would love any help anyone else could lend.
In previous Bimmers of mine, there was a clutch delay valve (CDV). This was a valve that would regulate flow so that you could not drop the clutch at 5K and damage your car, it would let it out a little more slowly no matter what.
The company I used on my old cars was Zeckhausen racing,
CDV
I emailed them and this is the response I got....

John,
This would be the first time I have heard of a CDV being installed on a Mercedes/Chrysler transmission. The way to figure out if such a device is present is simply to trace the hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder to the clutch slave cylinder, looking for anything that imposes a 1-way flow restriction. It may be built into a hydraulic line, just like the BMW Z3 M Coupe & Roadster. It may be a separate device, like most BMW models. Or it may be built into the slave or master cylinder.
This is the sort of thing that, if real, would probably be the topic of discussion on any of the popular Chrysler Crossfire or Mercedes SLK forums. That's where I would start.
Sincerely,
