I'm not really complaining because it really is nice that I can actually read the new radio in daylight, but I have to admit that the old display did look more stylish (red on black (CORRECTION: green letters on black background)) than the new (black on green). Maybe that's why they opted for it in the beginning.

As for the Alpine, I'm not enough of an audiophile to put out the extra $$. One Nora Jones or Talking Heads CD and I'm set...although I love the idea you can turn down the display brightness.
