Grrrrrrrr!!!
So, i turned my roadster in today for a 3-4 day repair of damage done by a lady who backed into me without looking. I have been provided a Chevy Malibu for my rental.....wow, does the Chevy Malibu blow. Please hurry and fix my roadster Mall Chrysler, b/c the sun is shining and it's 70 degrees!!! aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
to top it off, the Ins. Co. (Liberty Mutual) wants the dealer to "skin" the door (ie: undo the robotic welds and replace only the outer skin of the door versus replacing the entire outer portion of the 2 piece door). A whopping cost savings to them of $400 on the part, and a likely $2-3K decrease in value to my vehicle as a result. I'm shining up my boots to do some *** kicking. My dealer told me he wouldn't think of "skinning" the door on a car like this, as there is no way the fit/finish will be close to that done by the multi-million dollar robots in the factory. i tend to agree. anyone else had this issue?
