Default Controller Anti-lock Brake

Hello,

I've just got back from round 2 a the stealership regarding my persistent BAS/ESP light. They believe the CAB Module needs to be replaced and have quoted me the equivalent of $1600 to do this!

They found a fault with the brake light switch circuit, but my brake lights work, so this was ruled out. The main fault is "no preloading of ESP" - which apparently is caused by a faulty CAB module

I called Mercedes with the part number displayed on the module and they couldnt find it on their systems.

I can see the unit is made by ATE and the part number on it seems to be in MB part no format: A193 545 01 32

Anyone else ever had to replace this or know where I can get hold of one of these modules?

Also could someone confirm I have the right part no?

UPDATE: Apparently the part no for the CAB for N/A models '05 onwards is A 193 545 05 32 - Now not sure if the previous part is superseded by this part no.

Anyone care to help?

Any help is greatly appreciated, as always.
