mrphotoman the tranny tool is m/b universal. meaning its longer than needed. when inserted it hits the bottom of the pan and measured from there. the tool sticks out of the tube about 8 ".

james use an infrared temp tool to get the trans temp to 180*F and check the level. also dont forget to put the magnet back in the pan. the black cap on the tube has a locking tab which must be broken to remove the cap. a red tab to replace it can be purchased at your local m/b dealer for about 1$. when the cap is installed the red tab goes in the slot and locks in place
