I read in a thread a while back where you were trying to have valet keys cut so a remote start system could be used on the XF. Is there any way you would possibly come up with a 'kit' of sorts for members interested? You seem to have the knowledge and vendor relationships necessary to accomplish something like this, any interest?

John, there really isn't a kit for something like this. You only need three things, remote start of your choice, a DEI 556U immo bypass and a spare key that you don't mind tearing apart. You can get the 556U's for under $20 all day on eBay and the like. You can also find them in stock at your local Best Buy if they have an install bay. As for getting a valet key made, you can't just go and make one. They have to be ordered from the dealer and everyone I've dealt with ended up being more or less a waste of time as the 4-5 dealerships I tried to get to order me one either just ordered in the regular switch-blade key or they said it wasn't an option even when I had the part number. I looked for it but it's been 2 years since I was working on the nokeygo setup and I'd have no idea where to even start looking for it. Sorry. That being said, the wiring in this car is just a fun time as you have to tear into the doors, the driver side dash, the center console and the trunk. Not like your run of the mill domestic where you can get everything from under the dash.
