My gas mileage isn't even close to that...last time I checked, it was about 19 mpg. Lot of stop and go on the commute. Long distances are usually mountain driving at varying speeds. Almost no steady highway miles for her. And I do like to drive fast.
But I didn't buy the car to be economical, I bought her to rail around. 
Everyone has their own driving style/conditions...mpg will def vary based on that.
