Yet, anyway.

BC.
It was a fizzle here on this side of town as well. We got about 1/2" in the grassy areas. Looks like it will be back in the 50s on Sunday and Monday.

And I'm used to driving 30-40k miles per year between my two Crossies and an A6. I've driven quite a bit on the continent (and Ireland) and the distances are noticeably shorter in EMEA than they are here in the states. Crossing Germany is like going across Michigan and Illinois, just a lot more fun.
I very respectfully disagree that more taxes are the answer. I do not believe that we have cheap gas, the euros have expensive gas. They tax their people to death and have been for centuries. Spend wisely.

My mileage was dropping for a while until I changed out my spark plugs (NGK Iridium) and wires (Magnecor) - as soon as I changed them, the mileage/performance jumped back up. I inspected the old plugs and wires and couldn't see anything wrong, but it sure made a difference.

What RPM's is your engine at when you are at 65? It should be between 2000 - 2500 RPM - maybe you're not shifting into overdrive?
Looks to me like its time for a tune up!!!
I get horrible gas mileage but then again my previous car got 32 MPG
My car is an automatic so no overdrive for me?
I dont think.. Is there an O/D button?

I'm not sure - I drive a stick...maybe an automatic driver can chime in? You should be able to tell by the engine RPM's at 65 mph, though.

Didn't I see one of your posts that said you were smelling gas fumes? Maybe that is your problem - you could be leaking gas and that is killing your mileage...although you would have to be leaking ALOT of gas (several gallons worth) to drop you mileage that much.

5th gear (or D) is OD on an automatic and is pretty much the same as 6th gear on the manual.

At 65 mph my RPMs are at 2400.
Is that normal?

That sounds about right. Shaun, have you changed out the air filters? Checked to make sure that your air intakes are clear and that the engine cover is securely mounted? I had a Jeep Wrangler once were a mouse got into some birdseed and decided to store it in the compartment where the air filter goes. Half of the compartment was filled with birdseed! Any check engine lights?

My baby stays in the garage for the winter, and the Dakota 4x4 becomes my regular driver. Don't mind cold (except my seat heaters quit), but I am on a low sodium diet....and what's good for me is good for my Roadster.

I'm envious of the 28-32 MPG drivers here. Best I've ever had was 27, staying in the legal speed limit. Normal driving I average about 22, with the rare 25+ showing up. I don't mind getting 22, which is much better than the 14-15 my Dakota gets. When the snow and salt or gone I'm quickly back into the Roadster.

No check engine lights at all, im going to clean all filters out and do an inspection of the engine first thing tomorrow.

The only time I hit 80 mph is when I'm slowin' down!
