I am scheduled to have my transmission replaced later this week. This has me considering purchasing a DC extended warranty. My definition of that is a plan for a set period of years and/or miles to cover warrantable items as listed in the DC Service Contracts website, excluding wear and tear items and routine maintenance, with deductibles ranging from $0 to $100.

Has anyone purchased this from your dealer and, if so, was your pricing negotiable? I thought I saw some posts with prices in the $900 - $1500 range but am not sure of the years or miles in your extra coverage. (They were quoting me approx. $1800 for the DC Maximum Care Plan with 7 yrs/70,000 miles and a $100 dedcutible.)

I understand this may not be necessary and is another way for them to get $$ but given the tranny problem, it's worth my consideration.
