Selling Crossfire... Should I?
Opinions please! I am considering selling the crossfire after 5+ years of ownership. I own it free and clear and love the car. But I am considering selling it for 2 reasons (use the money for the next purchase plus it frees up space in the garage). I can only have one toy...
I know most of you would say "don't do it" but I am considering making a special purchase. It is a sports car and a car I have been dreaming about for the past 20+ years. I always promised myself I would buy one and I am now seriously considering it. Back in college I used to drive out of my way just to get a glimpse of this car.... and promised myself I would buy one when I got a real job. I never did! Years later the itch is still there!
Here is the dilema....
Do I give up the crossfire that gives me no trouble... or buy an older car that may require more attention simply because I lust for it? The crossfire is paid for. If I bought another car I may need a loan for 10K after I put money down and sell the crossfire. Keep in mind, this is not a daily driver and considered just a toy! It is a 30 year old car in excellent shape and may need attention over the years as things may break.
Would you guys spend the money and go for the dream car? Would you give up a trouble free crossfire for an older car. I love the crossfire.... don't get me wrong.
Just not saying what the dream car is because I don't want to get off topic. Most of you may not find the car I want appealing... I don't want to get into a debate about that. To me it is very appealing and that is all that matters.
