I totally understand your intent in your post... and SO totally disagree with about 90% of it.

The guy I work for would SO TOTALLY disagree with your post on ONE point: It is not about us, it is about the CUSTOMER.

It's the CUSTOMER'S money that runs the business. It's the CUSTOMER'S willingness to bless us with his business that enables us to have our jobs, homes and crossfires.

You can massage it all you want to, but the CUSTOMER does us a FAVOR by giving us his time, interest and (we hope) his money. It is NOT the other way around.

I saw NONE of the elements in John's email to the company that you did. Anyone telling a customer, or POTENTIAL customer that they did NOT care would be out the door on his *** as soon as Randy (my boss) found out about it!
