Decided to do the RCM "Mystery-no- start" fix. Resoldered the three problem joints and nearly messed up the board by melting some plastic near the soldered area! Put the RCM back and reconnected the battery and car started right up. This is good, thought I. But then I see the B
AS/ESP light on...oh no!!
Hey hey-! thanks a million- I did the exact same identical thing you did, resoldered the joints- well 2 of them, one of the "infamous 3" and and the 2nd one on the board. The initial one that is part of the "infamous 3"( you know- the 3 at the bottom right corner) was what appeard to be JUST starting to go bad, but yes- the BAS ESP light did come on, and reset it like you, and its fine now. I for a couple days thougth as well it was the battery but even at a "cold start" it didnt even go below 9 while starting, so as you- it couldnt be the battery. hope our fix continues to work!
Now to drive and see if everything works. Wish me luck and bless this forum and its wonderful members.
