Your concerns are mine as well, im not worried about the noise since if it got bad i would take it back out and put some dynamat on the othere side, as for the trip the foam is very thin. when you press on on it barly moves so i dont think you will notice it. also i did notice the trip panal's push the little bit of foam it does have flat any way so i figred it would still sit flat. i guess we shall see i have made up my mind
