I remember my Brother telling me about some guy he knew who ordered two identical looking black 63 Dodges. One had a 383 hi-po, and the other one was a steel fendered Max Wedge.
He would "sucker" guys into racing him for cash at the local drive-ins, and tell them he had to run home to put his "cheater slicks" on and would be right back. When he came back driving his "Ringer" with the factory dumps open, it was too late for the "marks" to back out.
My Brother said he made enough money to pay for that car in two summers of racing.
