Aren't SRT4's faster than our NA's?
Naw, i'm just crazy that's all.
But thanks for the thought.

Once you have evrything installed, get a good dyno tune. seriously. it will change everything over a simple chip modification.
Have them change the shift points if you are automatic. If you are manual, have them release the rev limiter to 6300 in 3rd thru sixth gear. Leave 1 & 2 alone.
Eurocharged has the program on our cars nailed. But nothing beats a custom dyno tune
Hate to rub it in but my guess at the power increase in Tighed1's Crossfire is still the one to beat. I should win because of the time involved. These type of guesstimates have time limits that are not measured in decades otherwise pigs might fly in the time period given to them.
My guess was ZERO power increase in Tighed1's car.

I think you won that bet, hands down. I just really wish DJ tighed1 would post on the forum and give us the lowdown on if he has been communicating with Corky and how he feels after buying a crossfire, sending it to him, and not seeing it for ~18 months...
He has been such a great guy to help others on the forum, I really hope he does not take it in the rear on that deal...

we are talking crank HP right?
Besides, your post #49 list has several claimming an approach to those HP numbers.
And for the record, My post #29 doesn't claim that I have acheived those numbers. So I do not understand your comments.
Eurocharged has worked on my NA on the Dyno at least three times since 2008. Everytime I could feel a distinct difference. The last Dyno was 2010 at the CAA St Louis.
And while I recommended the Needswings CAI, I believe I own the only Eurocharged CAI in the fleet.
No BS here guys. Asked anybody who has followed me thru the Dragon.
No turbo, No Ram air, just good work by Eurochrged. The only "trick" I have pulled is the red stripe that goes around the bottom of the car. Like any performance sticker,,,,,it just makes the car go that much faster.

Nope. Talk to Jake at Eurocharged. I cannot find the post where he said it, but he did claim before God and everybody here that I was approaching 300 HP. I would never have made that claim had he not said it here. Until then I claimed only 275 or so. There are just too many folks here, who know what can be done, to BS.

Franc I know you're a very busy guy, but one cool night before it starts to get crazy hot ouside, why not just take your car to a dragstrip and make a few passes to see what your car will do.
Everybody here will attest to your ablities to drive a manual shift car, so your track results should be considered a very reliable/credible test to show what a modified NA, XF can do with all the fixins.
Since the best times ever recordered by the Automotive Magazines back in the day were 14.7 sec. for a manual shift 04, that should be the base line to go by.
Personally, I think a car that weighs as much as ours, pushing 300 H.P. should be capable of almost breaking into the 13's (even with our 3.27 gears).
So far, nobody has been able to do it with an NA car on just the motor only. (without nitrous).
Maybe somebody in your neighborhood (who races an SRT6), could loan you some slicks. Then you should be able to see the 13's.
Remember, without photo's it never happened.
But a timeslip will do too.

Beliive what you want, I'm just repeating what was said by a respected vendor And he has the Dyno sheets to back it up.
I need to prove nothing here guys. So, unless you are calling Jake's comments BS, I'm fine.
I didn't have Eurocharged do the engine mods to drag race or develope the most power from our little six.
We did the mods because I wanted a bit more power yes, and a bit more RPM range for the way I like to drive the car, than the stock 215was doing. I wasn't trying to crack 13 sec quarters. Frankly, were I trying, I believe that would be better attempted with an auto.
I don't drag race anymore, and have little desire to do so. The NA, especialy Manualshift, is not a good platform for that hobby. I do not believe I have ever said different.
Firemax, great, or even poor numbers from the track would not prove Horsepower. As we discussed maybe three four years ago, an NA ought to be able to break 13's with some minor changes, including perhaps 18" wheels on the rears. But that would not quantify the HP under the hood.
Besides, you should know better than what you suggested. Even in a car capable of low 13's one would have to spend a little more than one night at the track to get slick enough to achieve what is clearly the maximun limit on our little Crossie.
And Dave, you most certainly mentioned me, you quoted me in you post #45.
Now, to get back to the begining, I said with mods the NA could approach 290 or 300 HP. If one wishes to debate that, fine bring it on,,,, no issues. But take your objections up with the Tuners who say different.

Calm down ole man before you blow a gasket. Can't get there even with the tuner or turbos or fairy dust. But it is good wishful thinking. Now driving is another thing. Some can have all the HP in the world not be able to drive. You don't fit that category. It's all in fun my friend.
.
Nobody is steamed here doc, at least not me. You,fireamx, 180 have likely forgotten more than I will ever know about car stats,
That said, I do not see why so many think our 3.2 @ 215 base HP, is limited to 265 to 275 HP in NA format...... . Which, BTW, is more likely @ 225 HP because the same engine in the 320 Benz was rated there.
Under that premise,
300 HP is only a 25% gain over factory
280 HP would only be 20%
These are not uncommon gains for tuners to acheive with simple mods..
Short of taking the engine out, there is no way to determine crank HP except by mathematics applied to the wheel HP.
If I remember correctly baseline Dyno for my car at the wheel was 146 to start and 197 at the finish of the tunes and mods. Perhaps I am doing the math all wrong.
I bow to the better informed.
