Default Re: Aren't SRT4's faster than our NA's?

Beliive what you want, I'm just repeating what was said by a respected vendor And he has the Dyno sheets to back it up.

I need to prove nothing here guys. So, unless you are calling Jake's comments BS, I'm fine.

I didn't have Eurocharged do the engine mods to drag race or develope the most power from our little six.

We did the mods because I wanted a bit more power yes, and a bit more RPM range for the way I like to drive the car, than the stock 215was doing. I wasn't trying to crack 13 sec quarters. Frankly, were I trying, I believe that would be better attempted with an auto.

I don't drag race anymore, and have little desire to do so. The NA, especialy Manualshift, is not a good platform for that hobby. I do not believe I have ever said different.

Firemax, great, or even poor numbers from the track would not prove Horsepower. As we discussed maybe three four years ago, an NA ought to be able to break 13's with some minor changes, including perhaps 18" wheels on the rears. But that would not quantify the HP under the hood.

Besides, you should know better than what you suggested. Even in a car capable of low 13's one would have to spend a little more than one night at the track to get slick enough to achieve what is clearly the maximun limit on our little Crossie.

And Dave, you most certainly mentioned me, you quoted me in you post #45.

Now, to get back to the begining, I said with mods the NA could approach 290 or 300 HP. If one wishes to debate that, fine bring it on,,,, no issues. But take your objections up with the Tuners who say different.
