Re: Base Model - Touring Edition?
Trust me, I am aware that Franc has an SRT6 and an n/a manual, and that he knows the car well.
I know what I know from going to college for Automotive Design and repair.
I can bench race with the best of them, and actually tear down and rebuild an engine, not to mention put together a shopping list of parts, and make it work.
I personally prefer playing with motorcycle engines, because you can get exotic designs for much less money than a similar engine in a car. The desmodromic valvetrain in my Ducati 848 is a great example of this. Designed to allow incredibly steep cam profiles, and eliminate valve float at high rpms. I would love to play with the top level exotic car engines on a regular basis, but I can't afford it.
I'm just restating that I can see value in a supercharged Crossfire with a manual transmission, for my driving style and environment.
But all of this is way off the original topic.
