As most of your know, the 3.2L engine in our cars has 195 cubic inch displacement (CID). The original engines of the DC3 were a nine cylinder monster with 1823 CID (That's 202 CID in each CYLINDER!)

Later, they used almost the same size engine overall,(1830 CID) but with 14 cylinders. The plane pictured has the later engines: 14 cylinders of 130 CID each (if you look closely, you can count 7 cylinders - there is a bank of 7 more behind them.)

Two WONDERFUL and GORGEOUS machines. The DC3 has always been my favorite plane, and you ALL know the Crossfire is my favorite four wheeled vehicle.
