It's a cold, ahem, I mean hot air intake that replaces the airbox tubes with filters inside the engine bay.

To the OP, you'd be better off with a set of replacement K&N drop-in filters if you're looking for performance gains. As for looks, well this does a decent job of blingin' up the engine bay but at the expense of performance.
