For most people looking to do a swap like this just because it's what they want, I would recommend listening to Kenek. Yes, you get the can that we feel should have been built by the factory. But, there is a huge price. Your wallet, time, and sanity all get hit hard. I took it on because like BC said it's not all about money. I did it as a matter of principal (and the need to replace an already blown motor). Everyone here said it couldn't be done. Those words were repeated by mb mechanics and speed shops. Even the AMG skunkworks giggled at the thought. And that is why I felt I had to do it. I don't like being told it can't be done.
