SRT6 with 6 speed manual transmission
So what's the verdict??!!
If a manual can be put in a SRT6, I'll start saving pennies today!
It all comes down to if Rudy can reprogram the ECU or not.
Rudy, can you do this?

There is a small group of people who just prefer the interaction that we get when we drive a car with a manual transmission.
There's the feeling of feathering the clutch, feeling the shifter slide in and out of the channels, searching for the correct gear for the up coming corner, and listening to the engine sing its song in concert to how we are driving our car that just gets to us on a deeper level than an automatic can provide.
Plus, the extra ponies are nice that you don't lose due to the transmission fluid being turned all the time, and the weight savings helps the car handle a smidge better.
No problem to solve, just more enjoyment for those of us who prefer full control of the power the engine has to offer.
BC.
BC,
I enjoy rowing through the gears as much as anyone, along with well executed heel-and-toe downshifting, but obstacles in the path of this swap include (at a minimum):
"The biggest problem is the mb pcu. The stock program can not be adjusted to eliminate the auto trans. This means that without the signal from the auto the pcu will never engage the supercharger clutch and you run a low compression n/a motor. To solve this you need to find someone who not only has the ability to manipulate mb computers but also has a beta program for the 3.2."
IMHO, the bar is set pretty high to accomplish this goal. I'm no computer expert/hacker, and maybe the above is a simple procedure to some, but it appears that the law of diminishing returns will quickly come into play here. Shoot, anything is possible if you are willing to pony up the $$$ I suppose.

Would you mind posting some pictures of your car with the SRT motor and manual trans, to some of us it is like the holy grail

My comment is about WHY someone would want to do it.
Not everything in life is about money, you know.
BC.
For most people looking to do a swap like this just because it's what they want, I would recommend listening to Kenek. Yes, you get the can that we feel should have been built by the factory. But, there is a huge price. Your wallet, time, and sanity all get hit hard. I took it on because like BC said it's not all about money. I did it as a matter of principal (and the need to replace an already blown motor). Everyone here said it couldn't be done. Those words were repeated by mb mechanics and speed shops. Even the AMG skunkworks giggled at the thought. And that is why I felt I had to do it. I don't like being told it can't be done.
And that is how the Frankenfire was born.

car has any issues with stability on hard acceleration to high speeds? It has
been stated that the reason the SRT has the fixed rear spoiler is due to
the N/A style wing not being able to extend quickly enough to provide the
necessary down force to keep the car stable. Just wondering if this is an
actual issue, or not.
Coyote
I've never had any problems because the spoiler was too small or couldn't deploy quickly enough. I did almost lose it going 80 in the snow once, but that is more of an operator error issue.
Couldn't get the pics to attach here. Check the gallery.

Ok so here we go....I am currently deployed to afghanistan and am about to purchase a srt6 motor with no tranny but all components included....so that means all ecu's (or computers needed) wirining harness, key etc.... Now this post has confused me a little...i remember reading hddp post a long time ago and didnt remember him having that many issues...but as you guys have posted there are things he did differnt....so what exactly did csjtp do to get this to work...i also have a base model.... please be specific CSJTP.....PLEASE??????? I NEED TO KNOW IF I HAVE THE FUNDS AND THE PATIENCE TO DO THIS?
