Exclamation Transmission leak for Automatic

Hi folks. We have a transmission leak in our 08 Crossfire convertible. I heard this was a common issue, and wanted to get pointers as to if we should look for this in the future. We are already getting parts for it but I want to be sure they are getting the right ones. I was told on the main Facebook page for crossfire owners that if it is the connector plug just replace the plug and O ring and refill the transmission fluid. We just found out about the leak today when we where going to get an oil change "Mobil 1 5-40 Formula M" Spec 229.5. Any tips and advice are appricated and as always thanks for the help.

If you jack up the passenger side high enough to put a couple of stands in, the transmission fluid ( well, most of it ) will go to the driver's side away from the connector.
You will still get an ounce or two of spillage, but not a steady stream.
BE CAREFUL WITH THAT LITTLE 8MM BOLT THINGEY, DON'T OVER TIGHTEN !!!!

Here's a link to a pdf file that contains links to 6 utoob vids that show how to repair the 722.6 tranny. Extremely informative and a must watch....

The main culprit right now seems to be the case connector. The leak was at the front of the tranny as it so happens so that's what I'm thinking. We are going to replace the O ring and the case connector. We are currently waiting for everything to cool down since we just arrived at the shop. Thanks everyone for you're input and thanks Syfi for the link to the video on the transmission. That helped us a lot. Thanks!!!
