In Sunny climates where the top is up for protection but the windows are down for airflow. the Heat and Vibration "MAY" lead to weakening of the bonding agent.

I still think that HEAT is the culprit more, but you DO present a valid theory. I always garage mine and almost never drive above about 35 with the windows down unles the top is down to - the virbration from the turbulance is kinda bad!
