You found a true treasure! It sounds like the Chrysler exec was holding onto in anticipation that the value would hold up much better than they did. If you plan to really drive the car, try to negotiate him down to maybe $24k as you'll find much better deals on higher mileage used ones. If your plans are to keep it as a garage queen, it's not a bad price IMHO.
