Just out of curiosity, did you consider using GM's 4 speed auto?
It will be at least 130 lbs lighter up front. I have removed so many parts and haven't weighed each one. I'm hoping to be at 2900#'s or less. I thought about using the 200r4 or 700r4 but I don't think it will make too much of a difference without a LSD. I calculated 68 MPH in first gear, and a top speed of 170+ with the tires I have on it now. I'll probably play around with tire size first.
