Ok what are you saying? Whats gone? I believe if you take it to a chevy dealer they will run the vin to see if any recals are due or have been done. They can also pull up a list of tsbs to see if it applies but Im not certain they will pay for it. or just google 2001 chevy silverado tsb's/alternator and see what you get. the more info you get on your own will help you when you go to the dealer
