They're the same engine with 2 more cylinders. The exhaust is custom made by Rob @ NW and he said he can make it fit a 6 or an 8, whatever I want, The only thing that won't go over is the ECU tune, obviously. I'd love to know Lantana's progress with turboing his 500. If that's possible, then deal sealed. I've always wanted a 500.
You are pretty much correct about transferring the parts over to a V8. One of the front spark plug wires is actually longer than the others, so you would have to specify spark plug wires for the front plug on the passenger side. The exhaust is just slightly different and the head pipes will need to be slightly modified to match up with your down pipes. all the front belts and accessories are the same on the V8. A turbo is not ruled out for me but I have found a proven supercharger kit for my V8 which in a SL500 put 385 to the wheels. I think I may be able to do a little better with a NW super cooler and boosted and tuned for 93 octane instead of 91.
