If your friend is making kits for the 3000GT there were far fewer of those sold compared to the Crossfire. If he makes some good looking parts (prices look reasonable), I would think he would have a much larger market capability with the Crossfire.
From the production numbers I've seen of the crossfire, there are actually a LOT less crossfires made than 3000GT's.
