It is the same scenerio.... whether a teacher in the classroom or a stranger out on the street... teenagers act the same way to both.

If a kid I didn't know walked up and said "is that your car"... I would say yes. If he stuck his hand out and said "that is a really nice car" then I would say he was geniune and gladly shake his hand.

The question alone "can I shake your hand?" to a complete stranger are words of a wise crack no matter what age.

This kid only became genuine and respectful after the fact... but the initial encounter is questionable.

I guess the way our society is headed (parents that shouldn't be parents, low education scores and a young generation not prepared to function in the corporate world) it is no surprise I am the only person smart enough here that sees behavior for what it really is. Our society is blind as to what is going on around them which is why we are falling apart. I could spend a whole day talking about the problems in our society and how to fix it... don't get me started
