Hi to all Crossfire Roadsters drivers.
At the moment we have approx. 20 people in germany that report a fabric problem with the soft top. The soft top fabric will be pleated when you open, or close the soft top. After approx. 2-3 years from new there is a horizontal line in the fabric. The fabric gets weak and there is the possibility that it will break, tear or leak.
Here are pictures that show the problem.
One forum member has got a expert opinion from the german DEKRA which is a Association for Technical Inspections. The DEKRA testifies that the problem is caused by a construction fault and that the problem will return even if you change the complete soft top, because it's caused by the soft top mechanism.
So what we want to know is if there are other people out there with the same problem. Our goal is to find a solution in cooperation with Chrysler.
