In drag racing, the automatic becomes man's best friend...it's consistent, has the ability to always shift at redline, and it can shift faster than any human can. But, I am not too fond about the automatic transmission simply because they make the driving experience less involving. Plus, only few things are more satisfying than hearing the blip of the throttle and a perfectly executed downshift. People may argue that autostick feature of the SRT-6 does the same thing, but having the clutch there makes the downshift that much more satisfying.
