We've had our 05 roadster on the road about a month. I am still like a kid at Christmas. I can do most or all maintenance, so the likely cost of ownership for me is very reasonable. The cars are still way underpriced. I wish I had the dollars for another two or three! Not for investment, but to be sure I always have one to drive.
Cost of an oil change will be high unless you do it. Correct spark plugs are not cheap, and it takes 12! Neither of these occurs often, so don't really figure in, in my opinion.
Tires can be expensive. They seem to not last long on the Crossfire. My next set (soon) will be all season; I just don't expect much time running from the state troopers. The all season tires should be very acceptable, and last much longer.
The biggest downside so far is that it's like your grandmother's china. I want to save it for later, carefully wrapped in a box. I get over that when I drive it though.
